About Pogo Direct

It all started shortly after the millenium when like so many others, my business partner and I purchased two small apartments on the Costa del Sol as an investment for the future. We each fancied a holiday home to visit as and when we wanted but at the same time the possibly of generating some rental income, to cover the mortgage or better still pay for our holidays.

We knew that our friends and family would probably book the apartments for the odd week or two during the year but what about after that……?

Being novices and having never been ‘landlords’ before, our thoughts quickly turned to 'How do we go about filling the remaining weeks?'. Advice was sought, questions were asked and it was suggested that advertising in some travel magazines or through local agents would be the answer. We tried these and other suggestions – but we had only moderate success!

It was then we investigated the internet further and found a number of websites where we could advertise our properties for a fixed annual subscription. This we did, it lead to increased enquiries and the bookings started to follow. Although these sites do a job, our business background made us aware that they were not as user friendly as they could be and we have been putting our own ideas into a melting pot ever since.

Over the last few years we have been approached by friends and other owners, asking us to rent their properties for them. This has led to our ‘portfolio’ of available properties, dramatically increasing in size. As a result of this expansion and our vision of the future, we have developed our own website which offers owners a fantastic promotional vehicle, on a performance related basis.

After fifteen months of in-depth research and development, coupled with the guidance and vision of our in-house technical department Pogo-Direct came into being and sees us with a fully automated, travel based web community that is both simple and very easy to use.

We already have plans which will see continued development and improvement of the service we offer to you. This will include the involvement of selected business partners, who’s services we consider to be complimentary to our customer’s needs.
